ALBANY, NY (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY) – Governor Kathy Hochul signed a package of legislation on Wednesday, September 6, that will expand employee protections in the workplace. I thank the bill sponsors for their partnership in our mission to establish the strongest and most robust protections right here in New York.”The first legislation expanded freedom of speech and conscience protections for employees. It allows the protection of employees from punishment should they choose to opt out of meetings sponsored by employers concerning views on political and religious matters. QUEENSBURY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Warren County Sheriff's Office arrested a 28-year-old from Pottersville for welfare fraud. Molly Sands was charged with offering a false instrument for filing in the first degree, grand larceny in the third degree, and welfare fraud in the third degree. Sands did not report income wages of a household member on her SNAP application, thus providing false information.Sands was arraigned in the Queensbury Court. UNIVERSITY CITY, Mo. -- Three 15-year-old boys died Wednesday morning after a car they were in crashed into a vacant home in the 1000 block of Groby Road at Mulberry Lane. The police say the teens were dead when they arrived at the scene.There is extensive damage to the home on Groby Road. The home is located near Kaufman Park.The 911 call came in at 6:30 a.m. Police found a vehicle embedded in the side of the vacant home. Dallas Thompson with the Missouri State Highway Patrol says they found all three teens deceased inside the vehicle. Fatal and officer-involved crash shuts down two I-70 WB locations Police called the Missouri State Highway Patrol to assist in the investigation. WENTZVILLE, Mo. -- Eastbound I-70 in Wentzville is closed at Highway A. A MoDOT traffic camera shows a crash involving multiple cars. EMS crews are still on scene. ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. -- A man is facing burglary charges after a woman got a notification telling her he was roaming around her home in the middle of the night. Jasper Emmanuel Williams, 33, was arrested Saturday night.Officers with the North County Cooperative say the woman received the notification while she was away from home. She called the police Saturday to tell them the man was outside the home. Police found Williams inside and placed him under arrest. They found extensive damage to the shower and mirrors. A Longmont police officer helped two other people pull a man out of a car on fire early Saturday morning.According to a Longmont Public Safety Facebook post, Officer Justin Hill responded to a single-vehicle crash with three occupants at Clover Basin and Larkspur drives.
