Ramón Laureano was designated for assignment on Saturday morning as the Oakland A’s — owners of the worst record in baseball — continued their roster turnover.Laureano, in his sixth year with the team, was batting .213 with six home runs, 21 RBI and eight stolen bases in 64 games in a season that’s been interrupted by injuries. Laureano was out with a strained left groin from April 17-28 and a fractured right hand from June 22-July 14.The A’s also reinstated right-handed pitcher Dany Jiménez from the 60-day injured list and outfielder Esteury Ruiz from the 10-day injured list.Right-hander Tayler Scott was also optioned to Triple-A Las Vegas. (KRON) -- A road rage incident that began on Interstate 580 led to an attempted homicide in Tracy on Friday afternoon, the Tracy Police Department said. Two bodies found in San Jose after wellness check Around 2:44 p.m., several 911 calls came in reporting shots fired in the 700 bock of West Clover Road. Officers arrived to find a man with life-threatening injuries. He was taken to the hospital by paramedics and is now listed in critical condition. Detectives with TPD responded to the scene to take over the investigation. The suspect fled the scene in a vehicle, but officers found it nearby on Interstate 205. Inside police found Eduardo Tarvin, 23, of Lodi and Jaco Nevarez, 21, of Lodi. Both were arrested and booked into San Joaquin County Jail on charges of attempted murder and shooting into a vehicle.
